About the Blog
The Polar Blog is part of Polarwarming.ca – an information website providing a Canadian perspective as to current geopolitical issues and events unfolding in the Arctic. The website attributes its origins and continued growth from my research thesis completed at Carleton University (2005), which assessed the relationship of the deteriorating Arctic polar ice mass and its impact upon Canadian sovereignty.
The Polar Blog is currently divided into five main sections:
Polar News – summarized Arctic related news articles.
Polar Commentary – commentary as to relevant Arctic issues and events.
Polar Ventures – a snapshot as to the development of key monumental projects intended to provide a socio-economic impact to the the vast northern landscape of Canada.
Did you know? – interesting facts about the Canadian Arctic.
General Posts – before mid-September, 2007 and prior to reformatting the Polar Blog, news and commentary were grouped together and also discussed general climate change issues and events.
Thanks for your interest and enjoy!
All the best,
Adam
